A Martinez man missed par at Jones Creek Golf Club on Tuesday when his driver went off course.

Ku Nak Choi, 54, received minor injuries when the golf car he was riding in just past the 18th tee flipped over at about 12:30 p.m., according to Columbia County sheriff’s Deputy Lonnie Payne.

The driver, Kwi Suk Han, of Evans, was following the cart path down a steep hill along the 18th hole at the course in Evans, where he applied the brake and turned the golf car. The car didn’t make the turn at the bottom of the hill and flipped over.

Han was not injured. Choi was transported to a local hospital for treatment of scrapes, bruises and road rash, Payne said.
