Come and join us for the 23rd Annual Cookin' For Kids! The event will be held at Daniel Field Airport in Augusta, Georgia, on Saturday, March 24th from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.  Cooking teams compete in a wild game, fish and BBQ cook-off that is judged by local community volunteers. Cooking teams offer samples of their culinary creations! Past entrees have included fall-off-the bone BBQ and ribs, venison chili, fish tacos, alligator, catfish stew, duck, bear and shark, just to name a few!  For the hungry, hamburgers, hot dogs and french fries are sold by the Exchange Club to raise money for child abuse victims. Come sample delicious food and have fun with the entire family! Activities include The Georgia Southern Wildlife and Raptor Program children's games and inflatables, arts and crafts! Admission: ages13 and over is $5; ages 3 to 12 is $3; ages 2 & under is free!


Over 17,500 children have received the services of Child Enrichment, the Child Advocacy Center & CASA Program  since 1978.  Last year, these specialized programs found safe permanent homes, provided counseling, forensic interviewing or court advocacy for 695 victims of child abuse and 342 non-offending parents, caregivers, and siblings along with providing expert testimony in prosecutions of alleged sex offenders.
