The Thomson Camellia City Lions Club held its annual chicken dinner fundraiser Friday.
In the three weeks prior to the event, members sold tickets for 350 plates of barbecued chicken, homemade potato salad, special lion’s club pickles, bread and dessert.
Pickles are still on sale for $10 per gallon.
This is the club’s biggest fundraiser of the year, said member Mary Beard.
Neal’s Barbecue cooked the chickens, Members of the club made the potato salad and desserts with donations from Bi-Lo and IGA.
