A downtown Harlem street will soon become one-way.
City officials held the first reading of a resolution at a Sept. 28 meeting that will allow only one-way traffic on New Street.
“The reason is safety,” said Will Butler, the city Community Development coordinator.
New Street is less than 500 feet long. It is off North Louisville Street, just north of the railroad tracks in downtown.
“There are some visibility issues there,” City Manager Jason Rizner said.
