While many Columbia County events have moved to the new Evans park, the fourth annual Blues, Brews & BBQ series will remain at the Columbia County Amphitheater.

“We’ve got two great parks, and we can fill both of them up no problem,” said county Community Events Specialist Keela Colombraro.

The series begins at 7 p.m. this evening with a concert featuring the Keith Patterson Band, and Augusta blues band Shameless Dave and The Miracle Whips.

Barbecue will be served by Shane’s Rib Shack.

Car wash

The Harlem High Drama cast and crew of Bye Bye Birdie will hold a carwash fundraiser for cystic fibrosis 3-6 p.m. April 13 at O’Reilly Auto Parts, 5125 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown.

Volunteens

Applications are being accepted through April 15 for the six-week summer Volunteen program at Georgia Health Sciences University and Health System. Applicants must be 15-18 years old. For information, call (706) 721-3596, or go to www.georgiahealth/volunteer.
