The Kiokee River Cub Scout day camp is being held at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church for the first time this year. One hundred scouts are registered for the week-long camp which started on June 2 and ends on Friday, June 6. Activities for the scouts include arts and crafts, academics, science, scout skills, sports and shooting. The archery range and the BB gun range were two of the most popular activities. The boys were also introduced to ultimate frisbee as one of their sporting activities. Scouts had an opportunity to cool off in air conditioned buildings while working on crafts such as making dream weavers. The boys will finish their week Friday with a day of various water activities.
