FORT GORDON’S INDEPENDENCE DAY

CELEBRATION

WHERE: Barton Field

DETAILS: Carnival 3 p.m., military displays, craft and food vendors,
live entertainment, water and carnival rides, tent seating; The Swingin’ Medallions perform at 7 p.m.; U.S. Army Signal Corps Band at 8:30 p.m.; fireworks at dark; arrive early to minimize traffic delays at gates; Gates 1, 2 and 5 open for public traffic beginning at 6 p.m.; Gate 3 open for outbound traffic only from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.; visitors must present a picture ID, vehicle registration and proof of insurance
