Fighting diabetes

Posted: March 3, 2013 - 1:06am
Riverside Elementary School recently donated $600 during a "Dimes for Diabetes" campaign. This money benefited the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes in November, which locally raised more than $72,000 for diabetes research. The check was presented to Riverside student Carter Daly, 10, (diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 20 months) by school principal Judy Bonadio. This was the third year Riverside Elementary School has held a fundraiser for JDRF. Special Photo
