Ami Flowers (left) was recognized at the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources' 2012 Spring Awards Banquet on April 12. Flowers, who is the daughter of Hank and Debra Flowers of Appling, won the Warnell School Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award. Flowers is earning her master's degree in forest resources. Flowers is pictured with fellow award winner Andrea Fritts.
Bob Kendra has been named a member of the executive council of New York Life Insurance Co. Members of the executive council are among the most successful of New York Life's sales force of 11,900 licensed agents. Kendra, who has been a New York Life agent since 1999, is a resident of Evans. He is associated with New York Life's central Georgia office in Macon.
