The Girl Scouts of the Greenbrier-Harlem Service Unit participated in the VA Stand Down Community Event for the homeless by making 692 no-sew scarves of all sizes, colors and styles. The Salvation Army benefited from the Scouts’ spirit of giving where they were instrumental in stuffing more than 400 stockings for their annual Stuff a Stocking Drive for children in need. During the service unit’s annual carnival and food drive, they brought food items to donate to Columbia County Cares Food Bank and exceeded their donation from last year by 2,000 pounds to become a member of the Columbia County Cares One Ton Club.
