Lakeside Middle School was recognized today as a National School of Distinction by Schools Fight Hunger.
The distinction is awarded to schools that fight hunger with enthusiasm, creativity and dedication. Fewer than 2,000 schools nationwide earned the distinction.
“The students, staff and families of our School of Distinction schools should be very proud of their efforts and the impact they’re making on the hunger cause,” said Schools Fight Hunger founder Tim Sullivan in a press release.
Schools Fight Hunger unites thousands of schools around the country in programs meant to end childhood hunger.
