The Augusta Christian Lions couldn’t carry over the momentum from its season-opening win a week ago facing Laurence Manning Academy Friday night.
The Lions trailed 7-5 for a large part of the game, surrendering a touchdown with 3:19 to play, losing 14-5.
As well as winning the statistical battle, the Lions kept the pressure on Laurence Manning but couldn’t convert, turnng the ball over deep in their territory.
“We stalled inside the red zone, twice inside the 5,” said coach Keith Walton. “We just didn’t finish.”
