On Nov. 7, Evans Elementary School joined in a national fundraising program to promote fitness.
Close to 700 students participated in the Boosterthon Fun Run event. The nine-day program helps local schools raise needed funds for education while inspiring students to live healthy, character-filled lives. The estimated $14,000 to $15,000 raised is earmarked for purchasing iPads for teachers.
The Boosterthon character theme is Rock’n Town Live! It challenges more than 900,000 students in 1,300 schools across the nation to build the communities where they live and play.
