Fire and bicycle safety are just some of the things residents can learn about Saturday at a festival dedicated to emergency preparedness.

The Columbia County Emergency and Operations Division, along with other area emergency agencies, will hold Prepare and Aware Day at the county Emergency Operations Center in Evans from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities include car seat safety training, a visit from Smokey Bear, and tours of the operations center, said Emergency and Operations Division Director Pam Tucker.
