“This time of year, I really enjoy hostas,” said Dorothy Packard. “I have several in my yard, but my favorite is the Blue Angel.”
Packard acquired her first Blue Angel hosta two years ago from Countryside Greenhouse in Hephzibah.
The owner of the nursery, Geraldine Hunter, grows hostas in pots and the Blue Angel caught Packard’s eye.
“It is a large-leafed hosta with a nice blue tint in its coloring, and in the shade garden it is a standout,” says Packard.
“After having this hosta for two years, it is as nice as Geraldine’s was when I bought it.”
