With school out Feb. 20 for President’s Day, children can participate in a Junior Rangers Program at Mistletoe State Park in Appling.
The program, which aims to allow children to discover the outdoor world through a variety of adventures, will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
“Children will learn about Georgia wildlife, participate in a nature hike, do some outdoor cooking and learn how (American) Indians depended on the outdoors to survive,” said Program Assistant Brenda Bettross.
